Hound Dog True Review

5 of 5 stars to Hound Dog True by Linda Urban (145 pages).

Mattie is an insecure, shy, and worried about everything kind of girl. To make matters worse she and her mother have moved so once again she will be the new girl in the 5th grade. This worries her. Along with everything else. Haven’t we all been there in our youth? Wanting to fit in? Scared that we didn’t? Unsure of ourselves? Trying to find our place in this big world?

My heart ached for Mattie throughout this book as she grappled with her worries. She’s such a sweet and sensitive girl. I just wanted to throw my arms around her and tell her that everything WOULD be ok! But by the end of the book I was cheering for her! Go Mattie!

This is a must read for everyone-kids and adults alike! 🙂
