These are the outlines for the reading comprehension skills that are tested at the end of each 6 weeks (each unit) on the Scott Foresman Reading Street Benchmark Assessments.
You might already be aware of this, but I didn’t realize this until after my 1st year in 6th grade:
Some reading comprehension skills that are tested on the Benchmark Assessments were review skills from 5th grade or the extended skills and not the weekly targeted skills. In simple terms, if I didn’t have time to cover everything I was supposed to in the given week (spelling, english, reading, writing) then the TARGETED skills (that go along with the weekly stories) were the ones I was supposed to focus on-NOT anything else. Well, that’s not going to work because then you won’t cover everything that they need to know for the ARMT. So, beware! 🙂
